Sports Shelters and Rain

The sports shelter is excellent at keeping you and your stuff dry. Because of its design it can easily keep the rain off your equipment and people, but the sports shelter fabric is not water proof. It is water resistant! Meaning it will keep the rain out for a period of time, until the fabric becomes saturated with water. Once this occurs the fabric will start to "weep" small droplets. So, I recommend using a water repellent  spray to increase the fabrics ability to resist the absorption of the rain. You can find this stuff at most fabric stores, outdoor emporiums or anywhere tents are sold.

Remember after using the sports shelter in the rain, you need to let it dry out. This means unzip the bag and remove the shelter, so it can drip dry in your garage or in a dry area. You don't have to set the shelter up, but it will help to spread it apart and lean it against the wall. I have limited space in my garage so this is what I do and it works great.

Cheers,
Paul
